OBJECTION SUBMITTED ON BEHALF OF
THE GATEACRE SOCIETY
We wish to object to Liverpool City Council's proposal to construct speed cushions, an elongated road hump and a raised junction on Gateacre Park Drive, Liverpool L25. This objection is made on the following grounds:
1. LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL'S FAILURE TO FOLLOW GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE regarding:
the definition of the scheme's objectives;
the proof of the need for the scheme;
consideration of the scheme's consequences;
evaluation of possible alternatives; and
consultation with relevant bodies.
These five points are discussed, in turn, in sections 2-6 below.
